Founder and Race Director, Bloomsday Run
Don Kardong, who qualified for the 1976 Olympics in the marathon and finished fourth overall in Montreal, founded the Bloomsday Run in 1977. Quickly growing to become one of the largest road races in the world, the event has hosted more than 40,000 runners every year since 1986.
Executive Director, Rite Aid Cleveland Marathon
Jack Staph, a long-standing member of the Running USA Board of Directors, has guided the Rite Aid Cleveland Marathon since its founding. Hosting more than 350,000 runners over the past 40 years, while supporting the local community by generating more than $15 million annually, Staph has become a leading voice for the sport in Ohio and across the country.
Veteran announcer and the Voice of Ironman
Reilly, known throughout the industry as “the Voice of Ironman”, has announced more than 1,000 events and called out more than two million runners and triathletes as they crossed finish lines over the past 30 years. An avid supporter of the sport, Reilly has defined how races are called and runners are celebrated.
