IAMS Flying Fur to benefit SPCA Cincinnati, dogs and owners can get in on the fun
CINCINNATI – The Flying Pig Marathon and Procter & Gamble announce the newest event of the Flying Pig Marathon weekend called the IAMS Flying Fur run. The two-mile dog/owner run will be held on Saturday, May 3, 2014 beginning at 1:30 p.m. near the Purple People Bridge in Cincinnati, Ohio.
“We are thrilled to be able to add a dog run to our growing schedule of Flying Pig events,” said Iris Simpson Bush, Flying Pig Marathon executive director. “We are looking forward to partnering with IAMS to promote wellness and exercise for pets as well as people as part of our Flying Pig celebration.”
The IAMS Flying Fur is not only a fun new competition for dog owners and their respective pooch to participate in, but also a great way to give back to shelter dogs in the Cincinnati area. IAMS will donate one large bag of pet food to the SPCA Cincinnati for each dog registered in the event.
“IAMS is very excited about creating a way for dogs and their owners to compete in Cincinnati’s Flying Pig Marathon,” said, Jason Taylor, IAMS North America Communications Manager. “Connecting with your pet by spending time training/running is a great way to keep yourself in good shape and keep him/her healthy and happy.”
Registration is now open for the IAMS Flying Fur event at www.flyingpigmarathon.com. The entry fee for one person and one dog will be $30. Each additional person or dog on the same entry is $15. Dogs running/walking in the Flying Fur event will receive an IAMS Flying Fur bandana.
