Industry Leader Offers Members Industry First with Both ASCAP and BMI Licensing
WICHITA, Kan. – As music continues to be a key component of race day entertainment across the running industry, Running USA is excited to announce the addition of music licensing as a key member benefit.
Running USA members are now able to purchase music licensing from the two leading music licensing companies, ASCAP and BMI, marking the first time race organizers have been able to acquire both licenses at one time, year-round.
Using the organization’s collective bargaining power, Running USA negotiated significant discounts for both ASCAP and BMI, saving members potentially hundreds of dollars, while generating discounts upward of 50%.
“We are driven to provide our members the highest amount of value possible,” said Running USA CEO Rich Harshbarger. “We’re excited to be able to offer an all-in-one licensing experience, while helping our members save significant money”.
Licensing covers live performances and broadcasted music at an individual event, as well as recording and livestreaming an event. With access to nearly 22 million songs, ASCAP and BMI licensing provides race directors with a comprehensive collection of available artists and albums, helping organizers create even better race weekend entertainment.
