Hall's Appearance to Highlight Nissan Health and Fitness Expo

Fans will get to greet, hear insight from Olympian this weekend

MIAMI - Olympian Ryan Hall, appearing in Miami representing Nissan, will conduct a seminar for the 25,000 runners in the ING Miami Marathon and Half-MarathonĀ® as part of an attractive seminar schedule at the Nissan Health and Fitness Expo presented by The Miami Herald and El Nuevo Herald.

The Expo, to be held today (Friday, Jan. 27) and tomorrow at the Miami Beach Convention Center, will serve as a prelude to Sunday's ING Miami Marathon and Half-MarathonĀ® and is the premier event for anyone interested in running, walking, health, nutrition, or fitness-related information.

The Expo will house more than 120 booths and interactive areas where the public can obtain the latest in running shoes and apparel and sample products. Packet pick-up for all race participants takes place at the Expo and last year more than 50,000 people took advantage of the two-day event.

Hall, who recently qualified for the 2012 United States Olympic team with a second place finish at the U.S. Olympic Trials, will share insights with runners to take performance to the next level as part of the Innovation for Endurance program with Rodale, Inc. and Nissan North America. His seminar is scheduled for Saturday, January 28 at 1pm.

In addition to training videos and running tips he shares on facebook.com/innovationforendurance, Hall will also greet runners at the Nissan Innovation for Endurance display at the Expo tonight from 4:30-5:30pm and on Saturday from 1:30-2:30pm.

He will sign autographs at the Miami Marathon on Sunday, January 29 from 9-10am at Nissan's booth inside Bayfront Park before leading more than 5,000 Dade County middle school students in running the final 1.2 miles of the 2012 ING Run For Something BetterĀ® program from the county courthouse to the marathon finish line.

The Innovation for Endurance program by Nissan and Rodale Inc. connects with active lifestyle enthusiasts at a series of high-profile running and cycling events nationwide. Centered on a Facebook page, the program utilizes five healthy living enthusiasts and athletes including actor Ryan Reynolds, cyclists Chris Carmichael and Chris Horner, yoga instructor and author Tara Stiles and Hall.

Nissan will also be displaying the Nissan LEAF, the first and only 100-percent electric, zero-emission vehicle available to the mass market which was named "World Car of the Year" at the New York International Auto Show in April 2011.

Other Expo speakers include Dr. Andy Baldwin, a reality star (ABC's Bachelor, season 10), naval doctor and fitness advocate, and Extreme Runner Dane Rauschenberg.

Expo hours will be Noon-7pm on Friday and 10am - 6pm on Saturday.
