PORTLAND, Ore. – As part of it’s Charity Program, the Portland Marathon (a non-profit organization) announced today that it will again team with the Portland Rose Festival Foundation (also a local non-profit) in 2017 and have created a special offer to tie the Oct. 8th Portland Marathon events to the 6th Rose Festival Half which will take place May 28th.
The Portland Marathon will offer two new ways to register: A combined entry into the Portland Marathon Half + the Rose Festival Half, and a combined entry into the Portland Marathon + the Rose Festival Half, both at a special rate. Registration for the Portland Marathon and charity entries for the Portland Marathon Half are still available.
The Portland Marathon is also a production partner for the 6th Rose Festival Half Marathon. "We are excited to now be able to work with an established and highly recognized event," said Jeff Curtis, Chief Executive Officer of the Rose Festival.
"We are very excited to have the opportunity to produce this Event for The Rose Festival Foundation,” said Les Smith, long time Event Director of the Portland Marathon. "The Rose Festival Half will be a wonderful spring lead-in to the Portland Marathon events in October," added Smith.
