America Runs the 4th Virtual 5K Benefiting First Responders Children's Foundation

America’s Official 5K of the 4th of July Benefits First Responders Children’s Foundation

INDIANAPOLIS, IN, May 21, 2020 – From the crack of America’s pastime bat and the colorful crackle of the fireworks lighting up the night sky to the sight of the American Flag waving in the summer breeze and the crowd's chorus of the National Anthem at the ballpark...nothing "speaks" America like the 4th of July. To help celebrate those magical sights, sounds and smells that ignite our senses and make America special, Indianapolis-based Vision Event Management has launched the "America Runs the 4th Virtual 5K" benefiting the First Responders Children's Foundation

First Responders Children’s Foundation would like to thank Vision Event Management’s “America Runs the 4th Virtual 5K” event for supporting the Foundation and donating to the COVID-19 Emergency Response Fund,” said Jillian Crane, President of First Responders Children’s Foundation. “We have experienced generous caring and generosity from people and companies across the nation as we come together to help first responders in a time when they need us most.”

While travel and vacation plans may be scaled back this summer, this inaugural event gives family and friends across the country the opportunity to come together virtually to have some fun and get patriotic merchandise while helping our nation’s first responders. The concept is simple: participants register now at www.AmericaRunsthe4th5K.com and then run or walk their 5K anytime, from wherever they are, between June 27 and July 5. Participants will receive event swag mailed to their homes prior to June 27, corresponding to their registration level – At Bat, Home Run or Grand Slam. There’s even a Rookie package for kids age 8 and under. Swag offerings include a button down baseball jersey, old school 3/4 length sleeve Raglan shirt, professional bartender bottle opener finisher medal, can koozie, personalized virtual bib, commemorative finisher certificate, and sticker or temporary tattoo.

Jeff Graves, president of Vision Event Management, the virtual event promoter, said, "We are proud to announce First Responders Children’s Foundation as our charitable partner for our America Runs the 4th Virtual 5K. First responders have always been a pillar of strength for our nation, and this event is a fun way for families and friends across the country to come together virtually to give back to those who so selflessly have given of themselves, even more so in recent months. All of our lives have been impacted in ways we could not have anticipated with COVID-19 but as a country, we remain strong and do have much to celebrate. America Runs the 4th Virtual 5K gives us pause and maybe reminds us all of life’s simple pleasures.”
