WICHITA, Kan. - Running USA, the national trade organization of the sport of running, is excited to announce a new educational initiative, the Running USA Accelerator Series presented by Race Roster.
With a specific focus on marketing and sponsorship, these interactive events will bring together leaders in the industry to discuss best practices and work with race directors to develop and grow their businesses.
A total of six events will take place in 2017, with events in the following cities:
  • Boston, MA
  • Stamford, CT
  • Charlotte, NC
  • Atlanta, GA
  • Palo Alto, CA
  • Sacramento, CA
Each half-day of programming will offer a variety of specialized sessions, followed by a networking happy hour, with registration set at $55 for each attendee.
Interested individuals can sign up to receive more information as it becomes available.
"For the past year, we've listened to race directors from around the country on their pain points and what areas they feel they need the most help in," said Christine Bowen, Running USA Vice President of Programming and Operations. "Working with our friends at Race Roster, we feel we've come up with a great solution to help the industry push forward."
With feedback from attendees at the 2017 Running USA Industry Conference, as well as survey participants in the 2016 Race Director Survey, sponsorship and marketing have been consistent areas of concern, with race directors seeking learning opportunities in those respective areas.
"We're excited to be hitting the road with Running USA," said Race Roster CEO Alex Vander Hoeven. "There is so much happening in our industry right now and we are looking forward to sharing our perspective on trends for engaging runners and boosting event revenue. We hope that attendees will walk away with solutions for their event and we're sure we can all learn a lot by working together."
