Melissa Cooney: Melissa Cooney has been in Sponsorship Sales for close to 20 years and understands the need for SponsorCX.  She joined SponsorCX at the beginning of the year and is thrilled to help endurance events become more efficient with their partnership processes.

Melissa has close to 20 years of sponsorship background, having worked in the Sports Business with Professional Sports Teams, including Audacy Media/ Boston Red Sox Network as well as Chicago Area Runners Association and Marathons across the country. Running is her passion and has run 17 marathons and is currently training for Berlin in September on her quest for the 6 Stars.  Her proudest moment is getting her 10 year old into running.

Tom Willis: Tom Wills graduated from Dalhousie University with a BSc in Neuroscience and Pharmacology. After graduating, he entered the world of sport and entertainment where he quickly developed an aptitude for building proprietary sponsorship valuation systems. He has spent his career brokering unique partnerships between brands and properties. His accolades to date include international projects such as the naming rights valuation and sales of AT&T Stadium (Dallas Cowboys), sponsorship deals with corporations from all the major sponsorship industry categories, as well as large scale analysis projects for some of the world’s most prestigious sport and entertainment governing bodies. Over the last decade, Tom has valued and negotiated billions of dollars worth of sponsorship and vendors agreements. His business guidance and global executive network are second to none.

In addition to his role as Chief Strategy Officer at SponsorCX, Tom is the President and CEO of Bonham/Wills & Associates – a firm specializing in Sponsorship Planning, Evaluation, Negotiation and Market Research – and the Founder of Bravo Whiskey Alpha – a leader in esports strategy and planning. At SponsorCX, Tom oversees organizational strategy as well as all strategic partnerships.

Outside of being a sponsorship executive, Tom lives in Squamish, British Columbia and is an avid outdoorsman. If he is not in the office, he can be found trail running, on the ski hill or golf course, depending on the time of year!
