SAN FRANCISCO, CA, October 9, 2026 — Movemint, the operating system for endurance sports events, today announced the launch of liability insurance built directly onto its platform. Through a partnership with Ovation Entertainment & Sports Underwriters’ and Nicholas Hill Group, Movemint is offering an insurance program tailored to the needs of race organizers, making it the only registration platform where directors can secure coverage in the same place they build their event and open registration.
Every race in the United States needs liability insurance, yet until now organizers have had to find it on their own, through a separate company and an often lengthy process. Most event policies also carry minimum premiums, which means small races often pay more for coverage than they need. Movemint’s program was designed to change that.
Registration platforms have traditionally focused on signing up participants and processing payments. Movemint was built on the belief that a registration platform should support everything an organizer needs to run their event, and insurance is one of the clearest examples. It’s a requirement for every race in the country, it’s tied to permits, venues, and sponsors, and it has always lived outside the tools organizers use every day. By bringing it into the platform, Movemint is making a long-standing pain point for organizers an easy step in the normal event setup process.
The program was designed to work for races of every size. Movemint’s liability insurance offering has no minimum premiums, so every event pays only for the coverage it needs, and small and medium-sized races stand to save significantly compared to a typical policy. Organizers can pass their premium cost through Movemint’s platform, allowing them to be covered without making a separate payment. Coverage also includes hired and non-owned auto, and liquor liability is available for an optional incremental fee. For larger events working with cities, venues, and multiple sponsors, organizers can declare additional insureds and generate certificates of insurance directly on Movemint, without waiting on a third party.
