MARCH 19, 2023 – VIRGINIA BEACH, VIRGINIA – The Yuengling Shamrock Marathon Weekend finished its 51st year Sunday with the half marathon and full marathon. Runners from all 50 states and 11 countries toed the line together and took to the streets of Virginia Beach with the same goal…cross the finish line.

After Saturday’s TowneBank Shamrock 8K and Operation Smile Final Mile, all eyes were on Sunday’s Yuengling Shamrock Marathon and Anthem’s Shamrock Half Marathon. Jennifer Yuengling, 6th generation brewer, D.G. Yuengling & Son, Inc was also at the start of Sunday’s races to cheer them on as they left the finish line. Runners were greeted with spectators, cheer groups, members of the US Military, run clubs and on course music throughout the day.

“It’s so inspiring to see so many runners come out and run. They all have different personal goals and watching them reach those goals, it’s just an amazing sight.” said Amy Frostick who co-owns the race company, J&A Racing with husband and fellow race director, Jerry Frostick.

After Sunday’s races, participants were treated to an epic after party on the beach featuring Yuengling beers, Irish Stew from Murphy’s Irish Pub and live music from Nashville Cover Band and DJ Ty Street.
