194 nonprofit partners will participate in the 2027 Charity Program, a 50% increase from last year and bringing nearly 2,000 additional charity runners to the course
LOS ANGELES, Calif. – The 2027 ASICS Los Angeles Marathon, produced by The McCourt Foundation (TMF), will return March 7, 2027, and its charity program is already at capacity. 194 nonprofit organizations are participating in the 2027 program, which empowers nonprofit organizations to use the ASICS Los Angeles Marathon, Charity Half Marathon and LA 5K as platforms for fundraising, community engagement and impact. The program has grown by more than 50% in the last year and will include nearly 2,000 additional charity runners participating to support their crucial causes. The milestone marks the largest charity program in the event’s history.
“There’s something special happening with the charity program at the ASICS Los Angeles Marathon,” said Melissa Christian, director of programming and engagement for The McCourt Foundation. “We welcomed significantly more nonprofit partners this year, and seeing the program reach capacity so early is a tremendous reflection of the demand from organizations that recognize the program’s value to their missions. It also means we’ll see thousands more participants running or walking in support of causes they care about, which is incredibly exciting.”
