St. Paul, Minn. – March 1, 2022 – Twin Cities In Motion, the nonprofit organizer of the Medtronic Twin Cities Marathon and a year-round calendar of events in Minneapolis and St. Paul, has named Bird the official training partner for its PNC Women Run the Cities presented by TRIA event on Saturday, May 21.

Bird (bird.coach) is a coaching and community platform that brings everyday runners the accountability, support and motivation they need to reach their goals. Runners in the PNC Women Run the Cities races can join the free training team for 8 weeks of personalized training for the 5K, 10K and 10 mile, events, one-on-one coach support and motivation from other team members in the Bird app.

“We’re excited to offer Bird’s services to our participants,” Twin Cities In Motion Executive Director Virginia Brophy Achman said. “Registering for a race begins a new chapter of each runner’s fitness journey and having support and motivation along the way makes the journey more rewarding and successful.”

“We know that everyday runners do better when they are a part of a community as they work towards their goals. We’re thrilled to partner with a strong community like PNC Women Run the Cities to offer a training program that complements a great race,” said Ann Conway, Bird’s founder.

PNC Women Run the Cities is the Twin Cities’ largest all-women’s running event, gathering thousands of women for 5K, 10K and 10 mile runs along the Mississippi River in Minneapolis and St. Paul. Like all Twin Cities In Motion events, the event allows kids 18 and under to participate in the race at no cost through the new TC Kids Run Free program.
