Madison, WI (November 2, 2022) – Endurance Marketing Inc (EMI). is excited to announce its acquisition of Run Madtown, a Half Marathon, 10K, and 5K events taking place on Saturday and Sunday, May 27 – 28, 2023. Run Madtown will return with renewed excitement, powered by EMI., an organization well known for its highly organized, family-friendly events. In its 11th year, the event will allow athletes the opportunity for a beautiful running tour of “Madtown.” All distances will showcase several iconic areas of the city, including the Capitol Building, the University of Wisconsin Campus, Camp Randall Stadium and the University of Wisconsin Arboretum. Participants will experience a scenic route utilizing the sights and sounds of Madison, complete with a finish-line celebration.

From the mid-1990s onward, a traditional half-marathon and marathon were held in Madison on the Sunday of Memorial Day weekend.  Due to extreme heat in 2009 and 2010 the marathon was cancelled and eventually moved to November.  Memorial Day weekend continued to host a half-marathon on Sunday, with the addition of a popular Saturday evening Twilight 10K and 5K that launched in 2012 and rebranded Run Madtown.
