New Packet Pickup & Expo location at CT Convention Center, October 9/10

October 6, 2025 – East Hartford – The Hartford Marathon Foundation (HMF) has begun the extensive effort of transforming Bushnell Park and courses for the 32nd running of the Eversource Hartford Marathon and Half Marathon on October 11. Celebrated with the historic installation of the Run Hartford mural along the course in downtown Hartford, this year’s event expects a sell-out in all race distances, with the marathon, half marathon and Team 26.2 relay already at capacity. Updates on capacity for the 5K are provided in real time on HartfordMarathon.com, those interested in participating are encouraged not to delay registration.

Months of planning and coordination culminate during race week, with signs along the race routes to prepare the city and communities of West Hartford, East Hartford and South Windsor for the premier race event in Connecticut. Volunteer roles are still being filled to support race day with more than 1,500 volunteers, countless community partners and title sponsor Eversource enabling HMF to host more than 10,000 runners and walkers and tens of thousands of spectators.

The starting line for the marathon, half marathon and relay is located in front of the Capitol, kicking off at 8:00 am (wheelchair start at 7:55 am).  The 5K race start location is on Capitol Ave between Clinton and West streets at 8:01 am, and the HMF FitKids races start on the east side of Bushnell Park at 9:30 am. The Hartford Marathon Foundation taps the expertise of teams of public safety officials from Hartford, East Hartford, West Hartford, South Windsor and the State of Connecticut to produce the event.

Local and national companies and vendors support event sponsorships at various levels, helping to attract race participants from across the country and drive economic boost in the region. Local restaurants and retailers will also welcome race participants and supporters throughout the region.

“The energy and excitement for race day in greater Hartford is something we look forward to each year and we’re grateful to the community, our municipal partners, the volunteers and sponsors who help make it all happen. We’re so proud to support local businesses and charity causes and help race participants achieve their goals with this cherished annual tradition,” said Josh Miller, president of the Hartford Marathon Foundation.

“The Hartford Marathon is a sure sign of fall in Connecticut, and we couldn’t be more excited than when the calendar flips to October and this incredible event is here.  We have hundreds of employees who run and volunteer on race day with the rest of us cheering from the sidelines,” said Eversource Chairman, President and CEO Joe Nolan.  “Teaming up with the Hartford Marathon Foundation since 2014 has been an amazing partnership.  It’s a natural fit because like HMF, we have a long history of supporting the communities we serve and charitable organizations that do such great work for the people of Connecticut. We’re proud to help energize the Eversource Hartford Marathon’s tremendous impact on the region year after year.”

Thousands of runners commit to fundraise on behalf of causes and the 28 Official Charities of the 2025 Eversource Hartford Marathon and Half Marathon.  Walkers are also encouraged to participate in the Charity 5K and join a fundraising team through the Official Charity program or choose a charity of choice to represent on race day.  To date, more than $9.5 million has been raised for local and national charities through the event.
