Two-day event welcomes runners, families and the public to explore health, fitness and running exhibits ahead of race weekend
ST. LOUIS — The Greater St. Louis Marathon weekend will kick off with the return of the Greater St. Louis Marathon Expo & Packet Pickup, a two-day event that will bring runners, vendors and the public together at the iconic St. Louis Union Station Hotel.
Expo hours are set for Thursday, April 9, 3-7pm, and Friday, April 10, 11am to 8pm.
Serving as the official packet pickup location for all registered runners, the Expo & Packet Pickup will feature approximately 50 booths from local and national health, fitness and running brands, offering participants a chance to explore the latest gear, services and wellness resources ahead of race day.
Admission to the Expo is free and open to the public, making it a welcoming gathering point not only for runners but also for friends, family members and members of the St. Louis community.
“The Expo is where the excitement of marathon weekend really begins,” said Mona Vespa, President of GO! St. Louis. “It’s a chance for runners to prepare for race day while connecting with brands, businesses and fellow participants who share a passion for health and fitness.”
A Destination Experience at Union Station
Hosting the Expo at St. Louis Union Station adds an extra layer of energy and convenience for visiting runners and spectators. Originally opened in 1894 as one of the nation’s busiest train stations, Union Station has been transformed into one of St. Louis’ premier visitor-friendly destinations.
Visitors can explore a variety of attractions within steps of the Expo, including restaurants, shopping, family-friendly entertainment and the St. Louis Wheel. The St. Louis Union Station Hotel itself offers historic architecture paired with modern amenities, making it a popular stay for out-of-town runners looking for a memorable race weekend experience.
Its central location also provides easy access to downtown St. Louis landmarks and the race weekend festivities that bring thousands of athletes and spectators to the region each year.
Participant 411: Packet Pickup Information
All registered participants must pick up their race packets at the Expo & Packet Pickup prior to race day.
Participants will receive their official race materials, including their bib and timing information, during this process. Organizers strongly encourage runners to attend the Expo in person to complete packet pickup.
While participants are encouraged to collect their own race materials, organizers recognize that scheduling conflicts can arise.
If a registered runner cannot attend the Expo, they may designate another individual to pick up their packet by completing a Packet Pickup Authorization Form. The designated individual must present the completed authorization form when collecting the race bag.
To ensure fairness and efficiency, each person may pick up a maximum of one additional packet for another participant. Race materials will not be released without the proper authorization form.
