MEXICO CITY, Mexico / TAMPA, Fla. (May 30, 2025) – The Rock ‘n’ Roll Running Series has announced that Mexico City will once again host the Rock ‘n’ Roll® Running Series Mexico City that is scheduled to take place on Sunday, December 14, 2025. The event will host both a half marathon and 10K distances and registration will open onsite May 30, 2025 during the Health & Fitness expo of the 2025 Rock ‘n’ Roll Running Series San Diego, with further details available at www.runrocknroll.com/mexico-city.

The announcement marks the return of the Rock ‘n’ Roll Running Series to Mexico for the first time since 2019. Bringing the Fun to the Run™ through music, entertainment, and community immersion, the Rock ‘n’ Roll Running Series Mexico City half marathon & 10K will take place during the morning hours, treating all participants to a race experience that highlights one of the largest cities in the world through its rich culture, modern architecture, historic plazas, and trendy atmosphere.

As the Capital of Mexico, Mexico City offers a broad experience from ancient history, museums for every taste, many of the best restaurants and bars in the world, shopping malls, top shows, concerts, parks and more.

Race week will kick-off on Friday, December 12 when the Health and Fitness Expo opens to the public, featuring the latest products and trends in the running industry. Then on December 14, runners of all levels from around the world will then take Reforma Ave., one of the most significant and iconic streets in the City on Sunday, for the 10K and half marathon. After starting out on Reforma Ave., race participants will experience the beautiful streets, buildings, churches, and parks before they eventually make their way to the dreamed finish line. Playing along the history of Mexico City, the musically-themed event will amp up the on-course bands and DJ’s for competitors to enjoy as they race their way to a finish line after-party festival.
