Madison, WI — Run Madtown is proud to announce that its fun, festive and flamingo-filled event will have the honor of hosting the 2025 Road Runners Club of America (RRCA) National Half Marathon Championship this year. The Run Madtown Half Marathon on May 25, 2025 will attract top competitors from across the country to Madison as part of the RRCA National Championship Event Series.
The RRCA Championship Event Series is one of the oldest and most respected distance running traditions in the United States. The series aims to spotlight well-organized, community-focused races like Run Madtown, which is known as Wisconsin’s most inclusive running event, and to recognize champions in various age categories: Open, 40+, 50+, and 60+ for both men and women.

The 2025 RRCA National Championship Event Series features seven races nationwide with a combined participation of over 12,000 runners. In 2024, more than 225,000 runners competed in RRCA Championship races at the state, regional, and national levels, making it the largest grassroots running event series in the U.S.
Run Madtown offers a fast, scenic half marathon course through Madison’s iconic neighborhoods and parks, with runners finishing in the heart of the city.
