Cincinnati (For Immediate Release) – The 12th Annual Queen Bee Weekend powered by Medpace featured a sold out field for both the half marathon and 4 Miler on Saturday, October 11 and saw the 2023 champion repeat for her second Queen Bee Half Marathon crown.

Katie Hallahan won the event in 1:20:25, more than four minutes faster than her winning time of 1:24:45 in 2023. In second was Daniella Townsend, who came in third in last year’s Queen Bee Half. She finished this year’s event in 1:23:27. Third was last year’s Queen Bee Half winner, Colleen Feehan, who finished this year in a time of 1:26:37. 

In the 4 Miler event, Ava Shepard won in a time of 24:40. Second was Bukola Pereira in 25:46 and third was Megan Francus in 25:54. 

Finishing fourth in the 4 Miler was Melanie Pliskin, who won the event in 2016, and fifth was Allison Echler, who also won this event in 2014, 2015 and 2018. 

More than 6,000 registered for the 12th year making this event a sellout. The Queen Bee Weekend events support female-centric charities and non-profits throughout the Greater Cincinnati region. 

Special guests for the weekend were former Olympian Jenny Simpson as the Queen Bee ambassador and Olympic Gold Medal winner and Pig Works board member Mary Wineberg.
