AUBURN, Al. — Over 2,400 running enthusiasts and Auburn faithful will #FlyDowntheField this Sunday for the Inaugural War Eagle Run Fest just like Auburn University legends Cam Newton and Bo Jackson once did before them.

The Inaugural event on Feb. 20 offers Tiger fans, students, and faculty alike the opportunity to take part in a new Auburn tradition and experience the rush of completing a race on the field of Jordan-Hare Stadium. A 13.1 mile half-marathon course takes runners through AUs campus before they #FlyDowntheField to the finish on the 50-yard line. The War Eagle Run Fest is the second FJR event to end in the stadium of a Southeastern Conference (SEC).

Alternatively, athletes and fans have the option to run a 5K (3.1 miles), and there will also be a 1 mile run for the Little Tigers.

After the race, participants will earn their commemorative Finisher Medal and join us outside the stadium for the War Eagle Run Fest Post-Race Tailgate Party. Open to the public, the tailgate features traditional tailgate food including nachos, hot dogs, and peanuts, with beer available to runners 21+.

The event is a collaborative effort between Auburn-Opelika Tourism, Auburn University, and FRESHJUNKIE Racing. To register for the War Eagle Run Fest and for more information visit https://www.wareaglerunfest.com/.
