Dallas, TX — January 31, 2026 — One of Dallas’ longest-running winter race traditions is back. The 2026 Too Cold To Hold Half Marathon, 10K, and 5K returns on Saturday, January 31, 2026, at Norbuck Park near White Rock Lake, bringing runners a fresh race experience while honoring over three decades of winter running history.

New for 2026, runners can expect all-new USATF Certified course routes across all distances. The Half Marathon will loop around scenic White Rock Lake, offering continuous lake views and a rewarding winter challenge. The 10K will feature a fast out-and-back course, while the 5K will run a looped route, perfect for runners and walkers of all levels. These updated courses provide a refreshed take on a beloved Dallas winter classic.

Race swag also gets an exciting upgrade in 2026. All participants will receive a gender specific long-sleeve performance race shirt and custom distance specific race bib, while Half Marathon finishers will earn a brand-new finisher medallion/coin, debuting for the first time in event history.

The bold, winter-themed medal design celebrates the grit and accomplishment of completing the Half Marathon in true Too Cold To Hold fashion.

Adding to the event’s community impact, Girls on the Run DFW Metroplex has been named the Featured Charity Partner for 2026. Through this partnership, Too Cold To Hold will help support programs that empower young girls by building confidence, strength, and life skills through running and mentorship across the Dallas–Fort Worth area.

“We are incredibly grateful to be the featured charity partner for the 2026 Too Cold To Hold race,” said Allison Gnade, representative from Girls on the Run DFW Metroplex.

“This partnership not only raises critical funds for our programs, but also helps spread our mission of empowering girls to be joyful, healthy, and confident. The support from the running community truly makes a lasting difference.” “Too Cold To Hold has always been about more than just miles—it’s about community,” added Tanna Wood Run Project Race Director.

“With new courses, upgraded swag, and a meaningful charity partnership, 2026 is shaping up to be one of our most exciting years yet.”

Registration is now open for the Half Marathon, 10K, and 5K. Runners are encouraged to register early to secure the best pricing and guarantee their race-day gear.
