KING OF PRUSSIA, PA – Registration for the Valley Forge Revolutionary 5-Mile Run opened on Veteran’s Day 2025 and has already reached record levels for both participants and sponsors this year.

Organized by the Valley Forge Tourism & Convention Board (VFTCB), event options include an in-person 5-mile run or 2-mile walk at Valley Forge National Historical Park on Sunday, April 19th, and a virtual 5-mile run which can be completed between April 19th – 25th. For the second year, the VFTCB is offering a military discount.

“As we celebrate the 20th edition of this incredible race, we are overwhelmed with pride and gratitude for the unwavering support of our community,” said Race Director Kirsten Tallman. “Year after year, runners rise to the challenge of this demanding course setting aside personal accolades and giving their all in honor of the park we cherish. Their dedication and heart are what make this event so meaningful. Every step taken helps ensure that the proceeds from this race directly support the preservation and enhancement of our magnificent national park, protecting its beauty and legacy so it may inspire generations to come.”

Last year, more than 1,200 runners and walkers from several U.S. states and two countries competed in the hybrid race and contributed to the record-breaking race registration, donation, and sponsorship totals.

Since its inception in 2006, Rev Run has raised more than $800,000 for Park infrastructure improvement projects and programming designed to enhance visitor experience. Last year’s record donation of $95,000 contributed to wayfinding initiatives and park furnishings, continued HPI summer programming in the park, and special support for the park’s annual March In event. Proceeds from 2026 are planned to support Historic Philadelphia Inc. programming in the park during the summer months, provide shuttle service throughout the park on 4th of July weekend, and fund operational support for Valley Forge NHP’s 50th birthday celebration this summer.

Previous projects have included bottle-filling stations, new wayside interpretation panels for the Patriots of African Descent Monument, design of informational midway kiosks, Once Upon a Nation programming, storytelling benches, bike repair stations, the newly renovated Grand Parade Trail Steuben Plaza area, and other trail connections.

Returning in 2026 will be finisher medals and a 20th Anniversary Revolutionary Run commemorative t-shirt for all participants. Cash prizes with a purse totaling $1,400 will be awarded to the top three male and female finishers of the in-person portion of the race.

Sponsorships are also available starting at $350, with upgraded digital sponsorship opportunites via the tourism board’s social media, website, and public relations efforts. This year, sponsorship has reached record numbers, with Highmark, Elmwood Park Zoo , Malady and Wooten, Medi Weight Loss, KOPBID, King of Prussia Mall, PECO, Keybank, JC Pool, Pottstown Regional Community Foundation, Montgomery County Community College, Arkema, Forge Hospitality, Premier Orthopaedics, Philadelphia Hand to Shoulder Center, and Centro Benefits sponsoring the race.

The Park has a significant economic impact on the region, contributing almost $45 million and several hundred jobs to the local economy.
