athleteReg’s biggest platform update in 10 years, with a new overview section, streamlined registration flow, and a modernized design.
BOULDER, CO — athleteReg, endurance registration with unmatched promotional reach, announced the launch of a redesigned registration page, now live across athleteReg events.
The redesign touches nearly every part of the participant registration experience, from a new overview section and navigation, to a streamlined “Choose Your Options” registration flow, to new sections for maps, media, and results.
“A redesign is an opportunity to step back and listen,” said Kristin Beadle, Product Design Lead at athleteReg. “As we redesigned the registration page, we kept coming back to what makes athleteReg unique: the level of service we provide every day. I wanted the registration page to reflect that same standard, the right details at the right time, so participants can find what they need and register with confidence.”
What This Means for Events
Streamlined navigation. Mobile navigation was consolidated from three separate menus into one, a 67% reduction in navigation complexity, with fewer decisions standing between a participant clicking and completing registration.
A centralized Event Overview. Contact info, location, and event description are now consolidated into a single section, cutting the scroll distance to reach contact information by up to 31%.
A redesigned registration flow. The “Choose Your Options” table is now optimized for mobile, tablet, and desktop, with expandable rows, status badges, and a streamlined merchandise and donation flow with prefilled donation amounts.
New sections to showcase events. A dynamic sponsor showcase, a highlights section supporting event photos and YouTube videos, enhanced maps, and a clean, responsive results table.
“Design modernization was the top piece of feedback we heard from both event directors and participants from surveys,” said Evan Huff, Senior Product & Operations Manager at athleteReg. “It was clear where to focus. Our goal with this redesign was to make registration modern and easy-to-use, so that events can turn visitors into participants through their event story.”
athleteReg will host a free webinar on September 22 at 1pm CT with a live walkthrough from the product team, joined by Reuben Kline, Founder & Director of Gran Fondo National Series, for a conversation about what gets athletes to say yes to an event, and how your registration page fits into that story.
