Baltimore, MD (October 13, 2026) — Corrigan Sports Enterprises (CSE) announced today that a projected 14,500+ runners will converge on the City of Baltimore on Saturday, October 17th for the 26th annual Baltimore Running Festival. The festival has attracted runners from all 50 states and 30 foreign countries to compete in one of its four races: Full Marathon, CareFirst BlueCross BlueShield Half Marathon, APG Federal Credit Union 10K, and Royal Farms 5K.
The day kicks off with the 7:30AM start of the Royal Farms 5K at McKeldin Square near the intersection of Light and Pratt Streets at the Inner Harbor. The Marathon and APGFCU 10K start 30 minutes later at Camden and Paca St., adjacent to Camden Yards Baseball Stadium. The CareFirst BlueCross BlueShield Half Marathon and its field will get underway at 9:30 AM in the Inner Harbor.
WBAL-TV, WBAL-Radio and 98Rock will once again broadcast the event live. Broadcast coverage starts at 6:00 AM and concludes at 11:00 AM. In addition to covering the athletic competition of the event both TV and radio coverage features the unique community and human-interest stories that permeate the event.
The event will feature two exciting Charity Chaser components. Zachary Rutherford, BPD, will serve as the Signal 13 Foundation Charity Chaser participating in the Full Marathon. While Rob Fatzinger will be the Half Marathon Charity chaser, raising funds for Athletes Serving Athletes. Both runners will start their race dead last, and for every runner they pass, CSE will donate $2 to their cause.
According to the Regional Economic Studies Institute at Towson University, the Baltimore Running Festival should generate an estimated annual economic impact of 19 million dollars this year. Over the 26 years the Baltimore Marathon and Running Festival has brought over 600 million dollars of economic impact to the Baltimore area. Since its inception the Baltimore Running Festival has donated over five million dollars to local charities and has helped raise 55 million dollars since its inception in 2001.
