Dec. 22, 2026 — Running USA is pleased to announce that beginning January 1, 2026, the organization will integrate AllTrack music licensing into its platform of music-licensing offerings for event producers. This enhancement will provide race directors, organizers, and event planners with an efficient, legally compliant option for public performances and broadcast of music at runs, races, expos, and affiliated events.

Playing music at public events requires licensing under U.S. copyright law. Running USA currently offers music licensing from ASCAP, BMI and GMR to event producers, at affordable prices available only to members of the organization.

AllTrack is a full-service performing rights organization built for the digital era; it represents independent artists, songwriters, producers, and publishers, and issues blanket licenses that cover unlimited use of their catalog for a fixed fee.

Starting January 1, 2026, event producers working with Running USA for their music licensing will be able to select AllTrack licensing as part of their event planning package. Whether your event features a finish-line DJ, pre-race playlist, post-race concert, or ambient music at an expo or awards ceremony, the AllTrack license will cover these music uses under a single blanket agreement.

An AllTrack license grants event producers the right to play music whether via live DJs, background services, streamed playlists, or live performance.

“Running USA is committed to giving event directors flexible, modern, and transparent tools to deliver engaging race-day experiences,” said Shawn K. Sullivan, Running USA Executive Director. “Partnering with AllTrack is a logical addition to our existing music licensing offerings, which are a keystone benefit of Running USA membership.”

Benefits to Event Producers

Simplicity & Convenience: Rather than negotiating numerous individual permissions, organizers can secure a blanket AllTrack license that covers the full AllTrack catalog for all music used at events.

Cost Efficiency: AllTrack leverages modern technology and efficient operations to offer licensing at typically lower industry cost than many traditional options.

Compliance & Peace of Mind: With AllTrack’s license, event producers avoid the risk of copyright infringement and associated legal exposure when music is used publicly.
