Transaction Volume Up 12% as AI Rollout Reaches Nearly 2,000 Customers

MOORESTOWN, N.J. – October 7, 2026 – RunSignup, the leading registration and technology provider for endurance events in the United States, releases its Q3 2026 update, reporting continued gains in market share and a major expansion of AI-powered tools for event organizers. The company reports a 13% year-over-year increase in races and a 12% increase in registrations, bringing its share of the US endurance market to approximately 60%.

RunSignup exceeded its internal targets for the quarter, growing total transaction volume and beating its registration, transaction and profitability goals. The growth comes as the broader endurance market moderates: after several years of 5–9% annual growth, per-race registrations from June through September rose just 1–4% year over year. Meanwhile, registration pricing increased at a faster rate as races catch up to rising costs. Expect more data on registrations and pricing at the end of the year.

“We are proud that our customers continue to trust us with their events, and we are earning more market share every quarter,” said Bob Bickel, Founder and CEO of RunSignup. “As an employee-owned company, we reinvest in our platform. This quarter that meant delivering a secure AI foundation and putting our first set of AI Agents into the hands of nearly 2,000 customers. There’s so much more to come!”

Market Growth and Customer Retention

RunSignup’s endurance business continues to grow through new events and races moving from vendors that have closed or fallen behind on technology. Key metrics include:

  • Race and Registration Growth: More than 2,000 additional races and over 350,000 additional registrations were processed in Q3 2026 compared to Q3 2025.
  • Low Churn: Race churn remains historically low at 3.3% (races over 500 participants that did not recur), with just 1.5% lost to competitors.

AI Infrastructure and Customer-Facing AI

RunSignup released its new AI Infrastructure in Q3, a secure and scalable foundation for customer AI features.

  • AI Chatbot V2 and AI Contact Us Form: More than 1,900 customers were automatically upgraded to the V2 AI Chatbot. It pulls live data from the RunSignup database to answer questions about pricing, participant management and results.
  • AI Product Roll-Out: Coming soon, new tools will include AI Insights, AI Reporting and AI Dashboard Actions to help event directors work more efficiently.

Product Highlights

In addition to its AI releases, RunSignup delivered a range of new products for race directors, timers and ticketed event organizers:

  • SMS Marketing: With nearly three-quarters of race website traffic coming from phones, organizers can now reach participants directly by text (now in Alpha testing).
  • RaceDay Scoring V6: Built on a multi-year rebuild in Rust, the new scoring engine handles background processing in under 50 milliseconds.
  • RaceDay Mobile Photo-Based Splits and Timing: Phones and tablets can capture real-time splits, provide backup to RFID timing, and power live tracking via photos.
  • Volunteer V2 (Limited Beta): A standalone volunteer management product with its own dashboard, critical gap reporting, and AI-assisted content tools.
