Burlington, VT – October 1, 2026 – RunVermont, a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting running as a lifelong activity, announced today that registration is officially open for its 2027 M&T Bank Vermont City Marathon & Relay, the 2027 Half Marathon Unplugged presented by Switchback Brewing Co., and the M&T Bank Vermont City Two Mile and Mini Marathon.
The M&T Bank Vermont City Marathon & Relay: Marathon, Relays, and Half Marathon
As Vermont’s largest single-day sporting event, the M&T Bank Vermont City Marathon & Relay will return for its 38th running on May 30, 2027.
This year, RunVermont has expanded the event by introducing the addition of an individual Half Marathon option. The weekend also features the beloved team relays, presented by Darn Tough Vermont: including an option for 2 people and 3–5 people to participate as a team.
All Memorial Day Weekend events are made possible by the generous support of title sponsor M&T Bank, which continues to unite the community through fitness and perseverance.
Half Marathon Unplugged
A favorite way to kick off the race season, the 2027 Half Marathon Unplugged, presented by Switchback Brewing Co., returns on April 10, 2027. Registration options include the traditional Half Marathon and a relay format.
Rdy2Run Marathon Coaching
For those looking to take their training to the next level, registration in the M&T Bank Vermont City Marathon (marathon only) includes the option to add Rdy2Run, RunVermont’s personalized marathon coaching program, led by USATF-certified Coach Sam Davis, a RunVermont Hall of Famer with more than 40 years of competitive running and over 27 marathons to his name, to supplement any training plan.
