Eugene, OR — Registration for the 2027 Eugene Marathon is officially open, and the response has been nothing short of historic. The event experienced its biggest single day of registrations ever on September 1, with 2200+ total registrations. This record-breaking surge has the 20th running of the Eugene Marathon currently tracking 42% ahead of its record-setting 2026 numbers from this same time last year.

The 2027 event marks a milestone 20th anniversary and includes the signature marathon and half marathon on Sunday, April 25, preceded by the Eugene 5K and Kid’s Duck Dash presented by OCCU on Saturday, April 24. Participants in all four events will enjoy the incomparable experience of finishing on the iconic track at Hayward Field at the University of Oregon.

Established in 2007, the Eugene Marathon is the largest marathon in the Pacific Northwest. Annually, on the last Sunday in April, participants run through the communities of Eugene and Springfield and along the scenic Willamette River, before crossing the same finish line graced by track and field legends over Hayward Field’s century-long history.

The 20th running of the Eugene Marathon is poised to be the most significant year yet for the annual event; 2027 will build on the momentum of 2026, which saw $16.2 million in economic impact, over $675,000 raised for charity, 1,500+ volunteers and 15,000+ registered runners from around the world.

“The energy surrounding our 20th anniversary is incredible, and seeing the biggest opening day in our history confirms that the running community is as excited as we are,” stated Race Director Ian Dobson. “As registration is tracking well ahead of last year’s pace, our team is focused on working with our partners to deliver a world-class race-day experience.”

Eugene Marathon’s race weekend also includes the Health & Wellness Expo at the Graduate Hotel starting on Friday, April 23 and going through Saturday, April 24, 2027. All race distances sold out in 2024, 2025, and 2026 (in mid-January 2026), so interested participants are encouraged to register early at EugeneMarathon.com.
