1,500 volunteers will wear a limited-edition pink Casa Bonita T-shirt during the race weekend
Denver, CO – Casa Bonita has partnered with the Denver Colfax Marathon as the 2023 race season volunteer program sponsor. This partnership will allow the marathon to continue its support of 1,500 volunteers during the race weekend in May.
“This is such a unique partnership,” said Andrea Dowdy, CEO of the Denver Colfax Marathon. “Our runners have been racing past the Casa Bonita landmark for 16 years, and we are thrilled to have them involved in our race day on a major level.”
Every year, the Denver Colfax Marathon relies on 1,500 volunteers to ensure that race weekend operations run smoothly for the thousands of runners and guests in Denver. These volunteers will be especially easy to spot this year as they spread out in a sea of pink as a nod to the iconic Casa Bonita tower.

Since the launch of the marathon in 2007, the design of the race day course has seen marathon runners and marathon relay teams run by the landmark restaurant not just once but twice during the 26.2-mile run, while the Urban 10-Miler runners each pass by Casa Bonita once during their race.
