Chuck George, President/Race Director of New Orleans Running Systems Road Race Management (NORSI), will direct his final event on Sunday, June 1, with the 24th Annual “Run/Walk through History” event held in New Orleans. After producing/directing events for over 43 years, encompassing over 1100 events, he is now transitioning NORSI-owned events to Lazy Hound Racing.

Throughout his career, Chuck has directed numerous notable events, including the Mardi Gras Marathon, Jazz Half-Marathon, Ole Man Rive Half-Marathon, United Way of St. Charles Mississippi River Bridge Run, Run through History, Fat Boy NOLA, Laketown, Run on the Bayou, UNCF Run/Walk, Spillway Classic Trail Run, Armadillo Dash Trail Run, NOTC Anniversary Race, NOLA Trail Run Series, Father’s Day Race, NOTC Summer Series, Elmwood Classic, Jackson Day Race, and the Turkey Day Race, many of which continue today.
He also directed the 2005 RRCA National Convention held in New Orleans, served as a former member of the RRCA Board of Directors, and is a past recipient of the Browning Ross “Spirit of the RRCA” national award. Additionally, he is a USATF-RRTC course measurer, former Race Director for the New Orleans Track Club, and a member of the Crescent City Classic event committee.
Chuck will continue to produce/direct private convention delegate races in New Orleans.
