Madison, WI (March 20, 2024) – The Run Madtown team is excited to announce its newest policy regarding pregnancy and post-partum in relation to the Half Marathon, 10K, and 5K events. This policy states that registered participants who become pregnant or have given birth since registering for Run Madtown are eligible to defer their entry and fees to a future Run Madtown event, within a three-year window. This new policy has been implemented to promote inclusivity and prioritizes the health and wellbeing of Run Madtown participants. Additionally, registered participants going through adoption, surrogacy, or who have a partner who is pregnant, are also eligible to defer their entry.

“Run Madtown proudly leads the way in championing inclusivity and support for our participants, embracing the journey of pregnancy, surrogacy and adoption with open arms and ensuring every step is taken with the utmost care and consideration,” stated Beth Salinger Race Director.  “Our dedication to the physical and mental well-being of our participants is unwavering, and we believe this policy will grant them the peace of mind to prioritize their families without concerns of financial loss or a forfeited entry.”

Participants requiring a deferral or any questions about this policy, please email beth@runmadtown.com, all communication will be confidential.
