LAS VEGAS, Nev. (Feb. 26, 2023) – More than 27,000 registered participants from around the world converged on Las Vegas for the 13th edition of the Rock ‘n’ Roll Running Series Las Vegas this weekend for the World’s Largest Running Party.

The Rock ‘n’ Roll Series Las Vegas half marathon and 10K races once again took over the famed Las Vegas Strip on Sunday night with runners and walkers passing iconic sights including the ‘Welcome to Las Vegas’ sign, The Fountains of Bellagio, Downtown Las Vegas, all before finishing at an electric finish line unlike any other in the world ending mid-Strip at the foot of the Volcano of The Mirage Hotel & Casino and steps away from Resorts World Las Vegas’ 100,000 sq ft LED screen creating the World’s Largest Selfie opportunity for participants.

Participants hailed from all 50 States and 60 countries, regions, and territories to take on The Strip at Night.

Vancouver, British Columbia resident Michael Nolan reflected on his very first time in Vegas “It was unreal, the vibe is amazing, I will absolutely be here next year. This was my first race, believe in yourself and you will get here.”

Brisban, Australia runner Nicole Fels also got swept up in the magic that is the Las Vegas Strip at night. “I was planning on just having fun and taking photos but then I started feeling really good so I started running as fast as I could,” she laughed. “This is my first time in Las Vegas, there are so many people, and everything is so much bigger and brighter here – absolutely loved it.”

In addition to personal records and first-time visitors, more established runners participated in support of others who were embarking on their first half marathon.

Nick and Bailey Lodato from Missoula, Montana, who finished the run early were amazed to have seen the entire Strip as they made their way through the course on Sunday night.

“It was neat to see the whole thing and enjoy the views and see all the people,” Nick said. “We are actually here supporting a good friend of ours who just had a baby,” added Bailey. “She is doing her very first half marathon so now that we have finished, we get to go cheer her on with the crowd.”

Adding to the immersive entertainment experience throughout the weekend, Blue Man Group raised the energy at the half marathon and 10K on Sunday with a one-of-a-kind start line performance followed by Cirque du Soleil’s Mad Apple singing the national anthem as runners readied for the course.

Prior to Sunday’s triumphant finale to the weekend, the annual Health and Fitness Expo, presented by Resorts World Las Vegas kicked off on Thursday, Feb. 23 featuring a live DJ, photo opportunities, fitness apparel, and much more.

The energy went into overdrive on Saturday, Feb.25 with the 5K at the Fremont Street Experience location in Downtown Las Vegas.
