World Masters Athletics (WMA) and the Daegu Local Organising Committee have confirmed Roster Athletics as the official competition management platform for the World Masters Athletics Championship in Daegu, taking place this August — the first city in WMA history to host both the indoor and outdoor championships

DAEGU, REPUBLIC OF KOREA — Roster Athletics has been confirmed as the official competition management platform for the World Masters Athletics Championships (WMAC) Daegu 2026.

The appointment, made by the Daegu Local Organising Committee in agreement with WMA, builds on a successful partnership with Roster Athletics, which delivered the competition management platform at the WMAC Gothenburg 2024 in Sweden. Daegu 2026 will be the first edition where a single city has hosted both the indoor and outdoor WMA championships, bringing together athletes from more than 90 nations.

A historic championship in Asia

“Daegu 2026 will be the first time in the history of WMA that a city has staged both our indoor and stadia championships. It is also great to be in Asia, a region that offers so much to our sport. WMA is delighted that Roster has been selected and contracted by the Local Organising Committee to provide the management platform. Roster delivered the management system very successfully at the Gothenburg edition of the championships in 2024, and WMA is sure that the experience will be even more enriching, successful and professional in Daegu. The championship format and how Roster will fit into that model will be explained on the championship website and in the competition handbook in due course. Good luck to Daegu 2026 and to Roster.”

— Alan Bell, Vice President of Competition, World Masters Athletics

Daegu ready to host the world

“Daegu will be the world’s first city to host both indoor and outdoor Masters Athletics. We will provide free traffic cards and shuttle buses to the wonderful World Class 1 Daegu Stadium, and more than 1,000 volunteers are ready to offer dedicated services to participants from 90 nations. We chose Roster Athletics as our competition management partner because it offers smooth access and is widely familiar to master athletes around the world. With a sophisticated program and extensive experience, Roster ensures seamless and flawless competition operations. Join us at WMAC Daegu 2026 to share the excitement of athletics together with the vibrant cultures of Daegu and Korea.”

— Kihoon Chin, Secretary General, Local Organising Committee, WMAC Daegu 2026

A growing global movement

“We look forward to once again supporting WMA and the Local Organising Committee at this summer’s World Masters Athletics Championships in Daegu. We see strong momentum and growing recognition for masters athletics at every level. At Roster Athletics, we are privileged to be part of the World Championships again and encouraged by the increasing adoption of our platform among national masters associations worldwide.”
