Employee-owned company nears 60% market share as it advances new AI infrastructure and rolls out platform-wide product updates
Moorestown, NJ (July 10, 2026) – RunSignup, the leading technology solution for U.S. endurance events, today released its Q2 2026 business update. The employee-owned company reports registrations are up 17% year over year, outpacing its internal growth plan, as it approaches 60% market share among US endurance events. The company update also details early results from TicketSignup’s new 40-cent ticketing fee, continued adoption of RunSignup’s AI Chatbot, progress toward a new AI infrastructure platform, more than 600 software releases during the quarter, and the company’s first full in-person company meeting since before the pandemic.
Q2 Numbers
RunSignup overachieved on its registration, transaction and profitability goals for the quarter. The company’s 2026 Mid-Year Race Trends Report shows the endurance market continuing to expand gradually. Race registrations grew 17% with more than 439,000 increased registrations in 2026 Q2 compared to the previous year’s registrations. The company also experienced 12% year over year new race growth in Q2 with 2,000 more new races being added. Much of these new races come from events migrating off registration vendors that have shut down, including Chronotrack, Enmotive and Stack/Get Me Registered/RaceWire, as well as from vendors not keeping pace with technology. Race retention also remained strong: among races with more than 500 participants, non-recurrence churn was historically low at 3.2%, and churn to competitors was just 1.1%.
AI Product Infrastructure
RunSignup is moving its new AI infrastructure from test to production in Q3, with priorities including public agent specialists for customer contact and race results, a replacement for its existing AI website chatbot, and new dashboard and website agents for business analytics and participant management. Its AI Chatbot is already in use on more than 1,500 customer websites, answering over 10,000 questions per month. Internally, RunSignup is applying AI to its own development process, hitting a record 260 releases in April 2026, up from an average of 200 per month in 2025.
Website V2 Becomes the Standard
RunSignup’s free Website V2 is now the default for new races created through its Race Wizard, with thousands of races migrated from the legacy platform. Q2 additions included video banners, an image gallery, an embedded AI Assistant, a sponsor slideshow, RaceJoy custom course maps, a newsletter component, weather data in results, custom wording controls, and a price increase component.
RaceDay Mobile V6
RunSignup released version 6 of RaceDay Mobile, rebranded from RaceDay Mobile Timing App to reflect its expanded role on race day. Beyond backup and manual timing, the free app now includes automated photo capture and a real-time announcer tool, and will serve as the basis for upcoming timer partner features like low-cost split point tracking with near-real-time participant photos.
Company and Customer Meetings
RunSignup brought its 81 employees together in St. Paul, Minnesota in June for its first full in-person company meeting since before the pandemic, featuring demos of upcoming projects including SMS marketing tools, a “Super Lists” segmentation feature, and new AI infrastructure applications. The company followed with a two-day RunSignup University for Race Directors, where attendees “learned they were driving a Ferrari like a Honda.”
