The Tunnel to Towers Foundation (T2T) is happy to announce that its 2024 National Run, Walk & Climb Series broke Foundation records for participation and money raised for the non-profit. In addition to the roughly 40,000 participants in the 2024 Tunnel to Towers 5K Run & Walk New York City, T2T hosted more than 29,000 people at 70 runs, walks, and climbs around the country. These national events ranged in size from very local run/walks of under 100 people to regional events with over 2,500 participants. T2T was founded in New York City in the wake of the September 11, 2001 terror attacks on our country. The Foundation is focused on delivering mortgage-free homes to catastrophically injured veterans and first responders, as well as Gold Star families and families of fallen first responders who leave behind young children. Additionally, the Foundation is committed to eradicating homelessness in the veteran community and helping America to Never Forget September 11, 2001.
Charity Navigator, the nation’s largest and most utilized evaluator of charities, has awarded the Foundation their highest rating of four stars for ten years running. 93% of all funds raised go directly to the Foundation’s programs. Please find more information at T2T.org.
The year 2026 marks the 25th anniversary of the September 11th attacks and the Foundation is working to honor all those lives lost on that day by bringing as many memorial runs, walks, and climbs to as many towns and cities as possible, and are looking to partner with event management companies to bring a one time, 25th Anniversary tower climb to an iconic building in the downtown area. A T2T event is more than just a run or walk; it’s a memorial to all those lost in the attacks, and to the sacrifices made by veterans and first responders every day.
