Honorees for the Hall of Champions, Women’s Leadership and two new Awards of Excellence will be recognized at the Industry Conference in Orlando, Fl. 

(Nov. 4, 2021) – Running USA announced today that nominations are now being accepted for its 2022 Industry Awards, which will be presented at the upcoming Industry Conference presented by Race Roster in Orlando. The event will be held Feb. 20-22, 2022.

The 2022 awards are:

  • The Running USA Hall of Champions will welcome its 18th inductee class. The Hall of Champions recognizes leaders who have helped make road running the successful industry it is today. Nominate a Hall of Champions prospect.
  • The Running USA Women’s Leadership Award will  honor a woman who has been a leader, innovator and serves the sport with distinction. Nominate a Women’s Leadership prospect.
  •  The newly introduced Awards of Excellence will recognize outstanding contributions, initiative, leadership or innovation in the running industry. Honorees can be individuals or a group, program or organization and should be demonstrably driving positive change in the industry. Nominate a potential Award of Excellence honoree.

The Running USA Youth Award is on hiatus for 2022 and is expected to return for 2023.

“We have updated our awards format in order to reflect the changes our industry has dealt with over the past two years,” said Dawna Stone, Running USA CEO. “We are looking forward to celebrating the industry’s best and brightest at our 2022 annual conference.”

Nomination submissions for all 2022 awards must be completed by Friday, Dec. 10. Due to the circumstances of the pandemic, unlike in past years, honorees will not need to be present at the 2022 Industry Conference to be considered for selection.
